Also attending were Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, leaders of central and local ministries, departments and branches; representatives of embassies, international organizations, associations, research institutes, universities, high schools, investment funds, technology groups, innovative start-ups and professionals. experts, scientists, etc. The event was organized by the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Delivering speech at the ceremony, Nguyen Xuan Phuc emphasized. Over the past 20 years, reality proved that innovation plays important role in motivating productivity, efficiency, growth and competitiveness of the country in long term. For this reason, innovation has become the “key to success” and one of the most important “helpful weapons” in the socio-economic development strategies of most countries and regions.
He affirmed that Vietnam’s Party and State also early recognized the decisive role of innovation in renewing the growth model. Foundation for high and sustainable growth and creation of quality jobs is established. The context of the 4.0 industrial revolution, with the rapid change of digital platforms, connection of things, big data, automation and artificial intelligence. We are forced to adapt to it and strongly act.
The Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam was honored by the international community as a dynamic and fast-growing economy in Asia with an average GDP growth of 6.3% over the past 10 years. Year 2020, we were one of the 16 most successful emerging economies. The dual goal of repelling the epidemic and maintaining a positive growth rate (2.91%) was successfully realized. Vietnam is one of the fastest growing countries in the world.
Most importantly, Vietnam's prestige and influence is increasing in the international arena. The material and spiritual life of the people is richer and better off, even in rural, mountainous and island areas.
According to him, to realize the goals and aspiration of becoming a developed country, we must rely on knowledge, science and technology, and especially innovation, which is an important inherent factor of economic growth. It is new technology and the right human resources (capable of using, controlling and creating new technologies) that are decisive for long-term growth, the key to our breakthrough in development.

The Vietnam International Innovation Exhibition 2021 was organized for the first time, but evaluated to have attracted many attendants. With 156 stands of 113 domestic enterprises, 22 FDI enterprises and 21 institutes, schools. Quality and diversity of innovative products show big potential of Vietnam’s organizations, enterprises and makers.
Many stands really attracted attention for their quality of innovation. Among them, there was the stall introducing products and production line of building materials “Soundproof, insulating, fire resistant, anti-heat panel” of Phuong Nam Soundproof Insulating Company. Along with the stall introducing “Green building materials”, Phuong Nam Panel was trusted and selected by the Ministry of Planning and Investment for the investment in construction of a VIP room with the company's own materials to function as the lounge hall to receive high-ranking government delegates who attend and direct this Exhibition.
